This is my latest series of paintings, still ongoing. They are abstracts which is a new adventure for me, I find that I can express everything I need to in these pieces and yet, keep hidden several surprises underneath layers and layers of oil paint. These pieces are powerful and seductive at once, allowing the viewer to indulge in newfound spirit and exuberance. Just imagine what the owners of these pieces are experiencing every day!
I love the power of the color red, but also the look of a black and white piece. In other words, a piece of art that cannot be ignored, whether you agree with the piece or not is the statement I am compelled to make. I strive for beauty, although there is always that feeling of unease I like to create in all of my works.
